Well, well, forgive the lack of posts, really. Two months this time!. So, I think I am saying that more often than not, but posting on my free time while was building on my house on midst of hill ,made me understand time isn’t as easy to take as I thought it’d be, you know, was a lot of fuckin´ problems without internet there, adding that my speedyshare account was wiped clean., yes, everything I uploaded for nearly four years is gone, and it was a good amount of nice material can be sure, so I can’t be too reeling and upset I guess, so bear with slow posts until I figure out a rhythm or breakdown, or deciding spend money I don’t have on a best download server, sure will be a sort of a fever pitch followed by silence for some time, so sorry.
However, for some loyal beatniks fans , if any exist, I’m still here and I have been listening to something to block out all my distractions.
Well, my buddy Heino Retief has been quiet but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy. Somehow while played with The Gumbos Ya Ya´s he found the time for start another new side project with his friends PJ Franzsen, Mel Kahn, Theunie Steyn and Chris Van der Linde called The Lost Souls, turning their noses up to garage psych surf vibes, as Heino is wont to do so well, and with which starts to rear its head from the depths of the Internet through their bandcamp.
I follow to Heino since he drove the bass with The Future Primitives and his immediate garage brand Gumbos Ya Ya´s, so naturally I was super stoked to see that he got new tunes out.
Is rare that I put an album of covers of any sort on wearethelastbeatniks, but Spirit of ´65 is undoubtedly a good reason to break tradition, as it is a collection of many of my favorite garage rock songs that surely most of you will enjoy, also a tribute to an artist that surely most all of us could have fond recollections of listening to, Alan Vega.
Check it out, It’s “name your price” , so grab it for free or toss them some coinage and join me in praying to the music gods that this is only a prelude of an own forthcoming release.

I’ve been lurking on your site for a year or two now and I have to say that 90% of the music you share I totally dig. We seem to have the exact same taste. From keeping up with new releases of most of my favorites to being introduced to new stuff your blog is very helpful. Thanks for doing it!
