Sometime I hear that some bands are “on some next level type shit” , thing quite often I fail to understand it. I find a lot of music out there, and it’s rather rare these days for someone to produce something that’s truly revolutionary in a musical sense. Then, there are bands like Golden Dawn Arkestra, who are on some next level shit, for people to know what “next level shit” means.
Every so often some fans psych offers to send me some releases that they like it for add to the waerethelastbeatniks family. Well, blog reader and friend, Thomas, was cool enough to share with me this that … shit, I think he gave me this shit that blowed my brain a year ago now … wow , what explains my lack of organization this past year, but that nothing can explain is GOLDEN DAWN ARKESTRA vibes, one of the few new bands that genuinely excite me. With equal parts GOAT, SUN RA, GEORGE CLINTON, SLY STONE, MORRICONE and LALO SCHIFRIN, this magical chaos is light years ahead of this musical time…I’m talking psych irreverence clashing with epic waves of tribal through sound with cinematic textures that tell me that Golden Dawn Arkestra is one of the most fukkin´ frenetic bands to pass through your brain.
