This acid neo psych freakout of an album came up when I found it on my message box of FB from Jeremy guitarist. Yes, my friends, perks of my trade, as I don’t really have a doorstep where some musicians can leave their releases, sometimes found cool messages on my mailslot/twitter/FB that have things like this one inside.
The Wise Dude’s Revolver is the collaboration between musicians from two of Lorraine’s leading cities on French territory, Nancy and Metz and “Here The Sun” is their first full-length album after releasing a staggering E.P., it was released in 2013. What sets The Wise Dude… apart from your average blasting cult of psych are some subtle shoegazer brushstrokes. Every track bristles with shimmering melodic tremolo picking, liberal use of outmoded keyboards, blasting washes of drums, and distant trippy vocals, evoking every vibes we love , filtered through the French psyche, becoming Here The sun in a nice kind of calling card for the underground Neo Psych scene. Très magnifique!
