You know I’ve been on sisters savages trail since I listened a few songs a couple of years ago and obviously, my curiosity was piqued. Added to Their dark heavy trash -punk delivered on the heels of female voices seemed to me very cool and from the number of downloads this has got from first post on wearethelastbeatniks, it’s pretty clear that I’m not the only dude in love with this mysterious group.
Jennifer Clavin and her younger sister Jessica grew up in Los Angeles and started making music together as Bleached two years ago, when disbanded punk crew of Mika Miko to start play jangly pop songs with a lo fi feel and a more polished sound but with the same energy.
On the heels of the six songs on three 7-inch records, which was well-received comes the gritty garage-punk act Ride Your Heart, the bombastic debut albuml; creating bright hooks and dark heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and the crazy fun moments in between. The vocals wail nicely, the guitars are crunchy and not will miss an ear pleasing riff.
