Deer Tick will release their next studio album on October 25. The group will kick off a lengthy tour in support of the album in their hometown of Rhode Island in mid October. The album’s support tour will then stretch until a stop at New York’s Webster Hall on November 20.
Tiny Mix Tapes notes that a split 7″ release on Woodsist featuring kindred spirits Woods and Kurt Vile is being sold on Kurt Vile’s current tour.
“Well, I have a band — it’s me and the drummer from Priestbird, Greg Rogove. What started off as a joke — “Let’s start a band and let’s make up song titles” — to our surprise and shock, we started writing songs, and we’ve written eight songs that I’m really really proud of and excited about. We’re gonna record a real record, and we’re called MEGAPUSS.”
