Al Hotchkiss camp

So, It’s been a good while since I’ve featured anything from Al Hotchkiss’s Howling Moon camp on here.
No doubt the first word that will spring to mind when listening about Al Hotchkiss is “quirky” and you’d be right. Al is a Glasgow based producer/musician/composer/guitarist whose prolific but fairly unknowed output includes haunting and compelling vibes avaiable on bandcamp as name your price download, as also spontaneous YouTube videos to accompany some of his fabulous songs as Wild Al Hotchkiss, Los Tentakills or Filth Spector, not to mention his numerous collaboration projects.
Honestly the man puts out so much music that it can be hard to keep track of it all.
This time Al is teaming up with Mond Katze, aka Mademoiselle Marquee, aka Yogo Yolk for add some beautifully down-tempo and ethereal, slow-fi acid psych garage at his works full of surf inspired garage rock vibes
Al wear their influences on their sleeve taking their cues from 60’s Garage luminaries but managed to inject some freshness into the well trodden genre with a poppy, avant garde feminine touch. It’s a pretty great change of pace for the garage rocker and one that is a pretty classy place to start if you’ve never snooped around in his pile of releases.
So, I think for the record (just so it’s perfectyl clear) Wild Al Hotchkiss is not a solo project, if Al is flying solo ’cause he is so proficient at the guitar that the music literally flows out of his brain down through his fingertips and out the through the guitar, add friends wizards to the tag for becoming every record on a whole different story…That might sound corny, but a run through his bandcamp will prove that that is the only way to explain it.
Given how generous this dude has been by giving away all of their music for free, now should be the time for fans to step up and drop some coins into his house.
