Well, first, I’ll apologize for my conspicuous lack of posts the last month. Yes, excuse my absence, beatniks, happend I went up to my home all this month to soak up rays and hit some cloves beside my childrens to finish their tree house, it was damn needed on both our parts, hopefully, you’re all planning to do the same at some point before this summer ends.
Anyway, I didn’t really expect much of anything good to come out in this week, I felt uninspired for write , but apparently Guantanamo Baywatch had other plans to my mind.
Be it rockabilly, surf rock, garage-punk or just some good old fashioned Rock’n’Roll there seems to be no end to the number of retro rock vibes that these three miscreants from Oregon’s underground have along their way to stage. A sort,“Do these guys sound like they’re having fun?” And listening to their stuff I can answer that question with an unequivocal “Yes!” There is a ton of manic energy crawling out here that feel it like they’re literally pulling the sun closer to earth.
Whatever the reason, I’m glad they exist with their refreshingly-authentic sounding sticked doggedly to Surf Rock’s sunblasted formulas and twangy tropes.
There is nothing more to analyze here so just switch your brains off and enjoy it.
