Sometimes, thanks to wearethelastbeatniks I meet people-followers-friends around the world and have conversations…and sometimes happens things that make me really thinking about …. About our life. About the choices we’ve made and the path you’ve chosen. Past november 13 at night was one of those nights ( same that september morning when I saw Aylan´s pictures ) – and all those relatively brief interactions that I experimented on these five years knocked me in my gut and woke me up. I hope that you have one of those night too…and I hope that you actually and honestly evaluate where you are, even if what you see makes you uncomfortable. And I hope that you don’t just look to the ones that live beside you and share your path, I hope that you look to the ones that follow and live by ideals far of you…the ones who make their own path. Hatred has digressed far beyond a mere statistic, and the love root is still valuable and more than worthy of nurturing – both for our own benefit and that of those who do not yet know that coexistence even is possible. Look at yourself in the mirror. Live in peace.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Shortly before taking the stage at Lincoln Hall Chicago on Friday November 13th, we were shaken by the heart-wrenching news of the attacks in Paris. Knowing one of these attacks took place at a concert, a place of love, magic and healing, was particularly devastating to us. We recorded our performance that night, and would like to share it with you in hopes of offering love and healing to those affected by the tragedy. We ask that you enjoy this live album, which is available for download in exchange for a donation in the amount of your choice to the French Red Cross.
With infinite love,
The Bright Light Social Hour
