Well, I shouldn’t have to explain to you how John Dwyer is one of the greatest , most gifted ringmaster in the psych rock game . I shouldn’t have to remind you how this prolific eccentric genius is miles ahead of I hope at all times. Yeah, I know on bunch of blogs , mine included, has done a post that worth digging about this man , and is probably because he is so fucking great, so, on his own trip on several projects since 1997. But, maybe some poor soul out there, never bothered to check him out. So with that in mind, I present his last crazy project Damaged Bug.
My first exposure to Damaged Bug was Hubba Bubba released last year, which I loved , but for any reason I kinda snoozed and was sat dormant on my shelf for these months until thankfully now I´m diving of headfirst on his last Cold Hot Plumbs act , one the most impressive statement from his long running.
Deliberately hesitant primitive synths mingle with vintage pop beats and gratuitous hypnotic noise, hints from krautrock-era suffocating on a fog of cool sound. Jet In Jungle is the burner for sure, and the remaining missives are like an extended cool dream wandering more thirty minutes across your brain.. John Dwyer has outdone himself with this…
