I will try cut right to the chase: Here I go… The Black Angels guitarist named Christian Bland who evidently is also who sings front The Revelators when he does his solo thing., did exactly what you would expect from an ingratiating psych stylist . He sat on a stool with his guitar and recorded as if the ghost of Syd Barret would anoint him simply for sitting on a stool to record. Bland’s time on my ears made me think that if Syd could listen ‘The Unseen Green Obscene’ likely would have disappeared into obscurity while smiling. Discuss it amongst yourselves…
