How about some more of that lofi Garage Psych Surf we all love so much?

First off, big shout to Jason aka Jack Tripper , an amiable wearethelastbeatniks reader and regular visitor from some chat boxes of friendly blogs. He a few weeks ago sent to me Can´t Get No, the elusive Dead Ghosts´s last effort This offering from one right raw Garage Rock band from Vancouver , which have been pulling in quite a bit of excitement over last years , and I’ve found they’ve grown on me on these days with each listen.

Indeed , Dead GHosts has a lot to give musically. It’s more varied than ordinary run of the mill garage Rock. There’s a certain surf playfulness that comes through a lot of their new tunes that make me remember Growlers . All their stuff are misleading, with it’s distorted vibes and, as we progress , the vestiges of 60´s Garage Psych Surf sound take over of all atmosphere , recalling the whimsical and drug addled from their fellow Canadians Mark Sultan or King Khan. But Dead Ghosts is its own animal. The guitars are chock full of angles, vocal distorted are all over the place, drums and bass twist around on swirl and pulsating. They´re really good …
