Luckily for us, Dave, an aussie friend recommended to me this , so this insanely consistent, and ever-growing garage bands series continues, with a solid debut from Australia’s Black Springs.
The band formed in Sidney in 2011, and their bandcamp site says this: ” Black Springs emit shiny, spiraling, multi coloured and wildly undulating sonic vibrations of gooey lo-fi psychedelic sun drenched country tinged barnyard indie/surf/60s caveman garage rock with delicate lashings of lofty droning pretty dream alt-post neo…. something ” and you know I’m always fascinated by this kind of connection between all sounds that describe there .
It’s like a connection that is fueled by a natural chemistry between self , like an electrifying, positive energy that fills our mind when things just work, and you just go with it.
The disc start hits the ground running, slow with a driving, spaced out tune that’s built up around a steady guitar, and .It’s not long until things start to build, with layers of exhilarating guitars-drums-bass-vocals, with some that sound similar to the psych groove of aussie mates Psychic Ills .
Black Springd have made an undeniably compelling debut , and are sure to follow Australia’s blossoming psych movement in a big way.
I suggest that anyone who’s into this sort of thing to pick this up immediately, It´s cheap available through their bandcamp
