Holy fuck! All apologies for taking so long to return to post, but is not other reason that I am way behind in some other projects, no musicals, about mi career. Also I want to address the influx of requests to re-up dead links or premium. I understand it is a drag read a paragraph that entices you so, only to find the link dead or only premium available. I also want to thank all the people who subscribe, comment and contribute. Oh, and seriously, I appreciate and try to take the time to listen to all the stuff people send me, but it gets overwhelming at times and I sometimes miss stuff. I don’t want to discourage people from sending things my way but I also want it clear that sending me something does not guarantee it will be posted inmediately . Now, What can I possibly say about Mikal Cronin one that you hasn’t already found on a lot of magazines or blogery sites ? He is one of the most important fellas in the expansive world of Garage Rock and who certainly have a profound impact on me since some years ago. If by some glitch in the universe or some vast cosmic injustice you haven’t experienced some of these melodic monuments, then I urge you to drop what you are doing, and spend the next hours flying through these heady moments of untamed wilderness of Garage Pop with some beautifully Surf dyes as having been created in the midst of the most creative point on life of these genres Well, I’m going to shut up now, my ramblings shouldn’t keep you far of all from this genius any longer.

Mikal Cronin’s Merge debut, MCII, will be released on May 7.
Mikal’s self-titled debut from 2011 was all about endings: the end of college, the end of a serious relationship, and the end of his time in Los Angeles, where he grew up. So it’s no surprise that his sophomore release MCII is all about new beginnings.
“Since the first record came out, my life has changed quite a bit,” Cronin says, referencing his move to San Francisco and tours with Ty Segall as well as with his own band.
Recorded in late 2012 in San Francisco, (except for “Don’t Let Me Go” which was recorded by Cronin at home), MCII features several guest appearances, including Ty Segall. Other than the guest appearances, Cronin played all of the instruments. “It all makes total sense to me, but when I step back, it sounds kind of schizophrenic,” Cronin says. “Hopefully it all sounds enough like me to make sense.”
