A stunning stuff

If sometime I had one of  those moments when I listen something   and I  was  just knocked out , totally blown away, shocked, stunned at the greatness I´m  experiencing,  this  happened when I listened first time  to Black Angels. 
You can  loaded  it  onto your  player without hearing anything from them before,  and    surely you  stay   instantly hooked. That’s the feeling you get when you listen  them , the drone, the psychedelic dirge, and attention to details mesmerize you to the core.
Since   time a lot I need share all this, but always shocked   my mind the idea that Black Angels and their  sharp sounds deserve more than this  post.
At a time when  years ago I  was happening a hiatus with psychedelic music , Black Angels came along  and basically gave to psychedelic music a whole new life. Took the dark side of psychedelic music and main lined it; they melted down The Velvet Underground and The Stooges into a gooey tar, mixed it up with some 13th Floor Elevators, cooked it in a spoon, sprinkled some blissful synth drones on top, and banged it. Then they smoked a jazz cigarette, and played fuzzed out drug gospel. Intoxicating.
I have listened to these albums hundreds of times and I amazed to discover new things to appreciate every time , be it the arrangements, the vocals, everything.  A  rare band from which every recording, every performance I want to hear, are like taking a hit of ecstasy , truly this is one of my favorite bands  of all-time.

Blue Horizon recording group The Black Angels have announced the upcoming release of their eagerly anticipated new album. Indigo Meadow will arrive in stores and online on April 2.

Indigo Meadow is heralded by the high-powered “Don’t Play With Guns.” Penned just days before last year’s mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado, the song is streaming below.

“Our music has always tried to shed light on issues that may be hard to deal with or confront,” says singer/multi-instrumentalist Alex Maas. “If people think they can ignore the issues they are wrong. Don’t play with guns, don’t touch a hot stove, don’t give your child a poisonous snake, don’t turn the cheek when artists are willing to discuss these issues.”
