Well, maybe I should be ashamed that I haven’t caught these releases sooner, inasmuch as J. is   warning me that there a third effort from his band  to later this summer.

I want think that  J.,    would be the singer, guitarist and songwriter Jay Lobley , who beside  his brother, Derek Lobley, who plays keyboard, bassist Jason Rogers.and Althea Pajak, who plays drums and is married to Jay, joined to form Metal Feathers, hailing from the independent  scene of music  producing machine that is Portland, Maine.

Billed as an indie rock band,, this Portland  act  seems  reinvent themselves with every release with a healthy dose of influences since garage to punk and plenty of organ parts which give some psych vibes, achieving a batch of songs with a garage spirit a little weird, but absolutely full of energy .

They have somehow managed as yet to lay low and avoid the hype machine,just popping up on random review sites and indie blogs in the last few years, so their works  were  released on Rare Sex Records, the band’s own label, and  they put them available for download free of charge on Bandcamp. My respect to them for that. 

So that if you would  like  giving Metal Feathers something in exchange for all this great music, you simply can go to their shows , or buy Handful of Fog , their third effort  ,  wich is  being released on limited edition black vinyl by Teenarena Records on this summer…
