First, I would like to apologize ahead of time as for my recent lull, my main drive is still broken despite the attempts to get it repaired and retrieve all my music .( yes, too It seems to me I’m obsessed with this ) Anyway I still have stored some music on other external drive. Well, All this made to me that isn´t easy to upload anything.
Fortunately, every so often, I hear something so viciously compelling, that I can’t help but shove it into your ears through wearethelastbeatniks
Sacred Bones Records, of whom I think generally show me new sounds which their goes , as nearer to my tastes, dropped this giant pile of sonic bricks known as Todo Muere Vol. 2,, their second Record Store Day compilation, featuring ten songs – nine of which have been previously unreleased or only released in limited edition, among which I found Adult Living track, which to me is the beast of this release, which caused I go to searched all their efforts and now this band being played somewhere that I was these days.
Exported from sunny Brisbane, Slug Guts are a lo-fi swampy post punk beast reverb-drenched formed by James Dalgliesh:, Jimi Kritzler:, Falco:, Cameron Hawes:, Nick Kuceli:and Joe Alexander:and this is the first and only band any of they ever played .
After been together for only six months, they put down their first LP, Down To The Meat on 2009 , recorded in seven hours for just $10! Their influences are listed on MySpace as Pussy Galore and Captain Beefheart but sound more like some ingeniously twisted blend of everything from a fun surf to a dark blues sledge that sounds as though they are blasting through walls as they play.

On 2011 did a split single with the Primitive Calculators and a full LP called “Howlin’ Gang” on Sacred Bones records and on a tour to Melbourne, somehow ended up in a house in Broadmeadows to record a single of sputtering punk titled ‘Stranglin You Too‘ available as part of the HoZac Hookup Klub subscription series.
Every time I listened them, seems this can only get better, so watch for their new LP Playin’ in Time With the Deadbeat on July 24th via Sacred Bones . While check out their sound below , they are pretty bonkers…
