If you ´ve spent by my previous posts about The Leafs , you know it decidedly intense is their sound .
We know wich duo from Melbourne, VIC, Australia, Michael Pulsford – Gus Kemp have not been leisured music since releasing that noisy – quiet – awesome lo-fi EP, Space Elevator at june this year.
Last month i shared the single I Wanna Be A Machine, invitation to listen to the incoming EP Come, Take My Hand, wich i call it simply dandy .
They share it free via bandcamp, enjoy…

Gus Kemp: Drums, singing, videos
Mike Pulsford: Singing, guitars, art
Cornel Wilczek: recording, mixing, mastering
After the pop brevity of our first EP ‘Space Elevator’, we wanted to experiment with a few longer songs. We still love, and write, short songs, but wanted to make something you could lose yourself in. And you can’t lose yourself in a song that’s only 30 seconds long.
The five songs on the EP were all recorded one night after work by Cornel ‘Qua’ Wilczek at Electric Dreams in South Melbourne, between 8pm and 3am. Cornel mixed and mastered the EP, too. Cornel is a machine, a prince among men. He’d been working in the studio all day and then recorded us for half the night; the next morning he had to be back in the studio at 6am to do something like write the theme music for Australia’s (ultimately unsuccessful) bid to host the soccer World Cup.
The EP broadens our influences to include Patti Smith, LCD Soundsystem, the first Hold Steady record, Ride-era shoegaze, a nameless psychedelia compilation Mike’s girlfriend had in her car, and – though you probably wouldn’t pick it – Rogue Traders
