Los Foo Fighters parecen estar empecinados en que solo se hable de elos por estos dias, o al menos eso provocan con estas sucesivas presentaciones en publico presentando los temas de su nuevo trabajo estrenado hace solo una semana, lo que esta convirtiendo a 2011 en un año fantastico para sus seguidores.
Asi, casi de inmediato al lanzamiento de Wasting Light, su septimo disco, y conmemorando el Record Store Day nos acercan otra novedad. full length studio album has been revealed. Wasting Light will be released April 11 by Roswell and will consist of the following tracks:

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, Wasting Light was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Grohl’s home in California’s San Fernando Valley. The no computers/no software back to basics approach has resulted in arguably the strongest and most cohesive effort of the band’s 15-year-plus career: From first single “Rope” to the frenetic opener “Bridge Burning” to the beautifully bipolar “These Days” to stunning guest spots from Bob Mould (“Dear Rosemary”) and Krist Novoselic (“I Should Have Known”), Wasting Light is a singular triumph: a band that’s headlined arenas, stadiums and festivals the world over stripping itself down to the bare essentials and coming up with a world class band’s finest hour.
Concurrent with the album’s release, Exclusive Media Group’s documentary division Spitfire Pictures are producing a feature documentary about the Foo Fighters directed by Academy Award winner James Moll (The Last Days, Running The Sahara). Co-produced and co-financed by Exclusive Media Group and RCA Records, Moll’s documentary chronicles the entire history of the Foo Fighters, from the cassette demos Grohl recorded during his tenure as Nirvana’s drummer through their ascent to their Grammy-winning, multi-platinum, arena and stadium headlining status as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. This chronicling of the Foo Fighters’ triumphs and tragedies culminates in an in-depth behind the scenes perspective on the making of the new album: A process in which the band pushed itself forward by returning to its roots and recording in Grohl’s garage completely on analog tape.
El septimo trabajo de los Foo Fighters aun no tiene titulo, pero si fecha,la misma sera el 12 de Abril cuando se publique oficilamente,producido por Butch Vig y mezclado por Alan Moulder, fue grabado en cinta analogica en el garaje de la casa de Dave Grohl en San Fernando Valley , California.
De todas maneras el mismo ya fue presentado completo en una performance en vivo realizada en el pequeño Velvet Jones Club de Santa Barbara el 28 de Enero pasado cuando desmenuzaron el siguiente set list con nada menos 26 canciones
El album marca el regreso de Pat Smear a la familia de Foo Fighters , uniendose al nucleo permanente formado por Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel y Chris Shiflett.
Recordemos que Smear se alejo del grupo en 1997 tras la publicacion de su segundo album, pero participo como invitado en la gira In Your Honor, asi como tambien es recordado po haber formado parte de Nirvana como segunda guitarra en la gira de In Utero.
Esto no es su primer single, es solo un adelanto com regalo en San Valentine´s Day , y por lo que va pintando, parece que los FF estan volviendo a las fuentes, espero que lo disfruten…
