La historia es asi, en algun momento googleando el nombre de Bob Dylan, aparecio entre los resultados el nombre de esta banda Ripping Dylans, que por alguna razon llamo mi atencion. 
Fue asi como a traves de su MySpace  aterrice en el bandcamp de la banda, con el fantastico resultado que comparto en este post : cinco trabajos  que van desde  los 3 EPs lanzados en 2007 que dieron forma a su disco On The Fritz, hasta .el increible homenaje  Garage Rock a  Los Fleetwood Mac que lleva el titulo de  Tumours de este año , que versiona el Greatest Hits 1988 de los ingleses  , en medio tienen otros discos que sinceramente, no los pude conseguir. 
De todas formas lo que van a escuchar es sobrada prueba de que Rees , Dave y Chris dan forma a una de los mejores equipos de  Garage Rock psicodelico punk y estrafalario de la escena musical australiana . 
En su bandcamp tienen disponibles todos estos trabajos en la calidad que mas les guste y a un buen precio.

RIPPING DYLANS PRESENTS TUMOURS 

Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Christie McVie of Fleetwood Mac took the blues and bleached them white, desiccated them and polished them to a high gemstone shine. 

In July 2009 RIPPING DYLANS complete the chain by doing the only whiter thing; turning their songs into sloppy garage noise. 

These songs are the ghosts of our suburban utopia. They are the nuclear-proof cockroaches of FM radio. 

They are our first loves, our girlfriends and our mothers. 

This quality r-recording of 1988’s nine times platinum “Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits” was completed over the course of 24 hours, a case of domestic ale and a few bottles of port at the Phonovox Institute for Recordographic Arts/Bar & Grill in Epping, Sydney. We hope that explains it.

Va terminando 2010  y comienzan a aparecer en blogs, magazines y programas televisivos y radiales dedicados a la musica la lista de los mejores albumes del año. 
Y uno que sin lugar a dudas figura practicaente en todas estas listas es The Suburbs, de los canadienses Arcade Fire , quienes comenzaron a moldear su exquisita historia musical con Funeral alla por 2004 , historia con este feliz episodio titulado The Suburbs con el que lograron dominar la escena musical a nivel mundial, conquistando con sus presentaciones en vivo a los aficionados sin importar su perfil musical con la pericia instrumental a la que ya nos tienen acostumbrados.
Bien, algo de esto sucedio el 5 de Setiembre en el Monte de Gozo en Santiago de Compostela cuando Win Butler , Regine Chassagne  y sus chicos encabezaron el cartel del Festival MTV Galicia 2010.
Lo que tienen a continuacion es el audio de este evento, compilado en un bootleg que encontre en el blog amigo Magiska con el titulo de Moving Past The Feeling , audio al que me tome la libertad de separar en tracks individuales y que contiene los 10 temas que presento MTV Galicia en lo que fue su primera transmision en vivo el 18 de Setiembre, mas 5 bonus tracks pretenecientes a la presentacion de la banda en el Reading Fesrtival 2010 el 28 deAgosto.
Acompañando a este bootleg, encontrarn abajo los links para descargar el video tal como se lo vio por MTV  Galicia , con la correspondiente entravista en excelente calidad, espero que lo disfruten, saludos…

Free Moral Agents lanzo hace muy poco un nuevo trabajo titulado This Control, una contribucion mas al mundo de la musica ,  jugando  con la  mezcla y la interconexion del Jazz, el Hip Hop, el Synth, el Pop y la Sicodelia en cada una de sus pistas precipitando en hermosas creaciones, tal como lo viene haciendo desde 2003 demostrando la inspiracion de excelentes musicos .
Para quienes no los conocen cuando comenzo Free Moral Agents era solo el original proyecto paralelo de Isahiah ” Ikey ”  Owen , tecladista de los Marts Volta  , y a lo largo de estos años la expansion de sus miembros reuniendo sonidos de esta amnera tan peculiar creo que dieron a su musica una entidad propia.
Una buena oportunidad para conocerlos, en la que reuno la mayoria de sus discos, particularmente unos me gustaron mas, otros los ecuche solo una vez, pero  con la esperanza de que ustedes los disfruten. Porque ya se sabe, y es una de las cosas que me encanta de la musica, no todos la sentimos de la misma manera, saludos…

After ten years in existence, Acoustic Ladyland will reincarnate in 2011 with the same personnel but a dynamic new approach and a brand new name.
Before the old name is shelved for good, the group will perform a series of very special farewell concerts around the UK, performing old material as well as a glimpse of the new stuff. This is your last chance to see Acoustic Ladyland live, as they won’t be playing those classic songs again. Ever.
As well as a full UK tour there will be a four-night residency at London’s Vortex club in which the band will perform each of their four albums in full, with the original line-ups and special guests. These shows are already close to selling out.

Este es el anuncio con el Pete Wareham comunica la definitiva disolucion de  Electric Ladyland, banda de lacual Wareham es su frontman, vocalista y saxofonista y a la que el define como Un grupo compuesto por saxo, guitarra, bajo y bateria, que trata de casarse con la improvisacion y la asuncion de riesgos con grandes melodias , con el objetivo de evolucionar siempre, manteniendo la flexibilidad para cambiar sus gustos, y hacer buena musica.
Cuando Acoustic Ladyland surgio en 2004 con su primer disco Camouflage, se vismumbraban como prometedores musicos de jazz de Gran Bretaña, con la consecuente pregunta tras escuchar su trabajo de si era o no era jazz.
Detras de esta pregunta, solo habia que mirar la musica, con musicos de jazz de fondo, jugando con un estilo que no ni era ni jazz, ni no-jazz, algo que pofriamos denominar como post-jazz. Un estilo que contiene las reglas del jazz de los 70s, pero en el que el Punk y el Rock tambien se transforman ingredientes vitales, con una diversidad ritmica pegada a su patrimonio musical que se movio de forma incremental y  que se fue alejando de sus raices como banda de jazz a medida que avanzaron en su discografia, en la que se puede palpar la libertad y la alegria compositiva de musicos talentosos.
Esta noche se estaran despidiendo de Brighton, en el Pavilion Theater  en el complejo Brighton Dome , a partir de las 8:00 pm con la banda local Grass Cut como soporte, quienes puedan ir, no creo que se arrepientan. Espero que les guste y gracias a Erick por recordarmelos, saludos…
