Ah, you know, good old reliable Guido Anselmi never put out a bad album for we download , only good ones of varying degrees of awesomeness.
From deep within the swirls mad vortex psych that he calls Kingdom Of The Holy Sun now return with new Ep on which since the first track leaves good impressions, these four tunes tells me that their sound has matured even further and they venture shamelessly into psychedelia…which only serves to earn them more favor from wearethelastbeatniks.
The fact also is that the Seattle team decided to do the extra step and two weeks ago they bewitched KEXP listeners with a live in-studio performance playing their drone sludge with a shoegaze guttural gallop. I like these live versions more than what I’ve heard via mp3. Whatever, both are fucking awesome.
I hope the almanac not quench my KOTHS vinyl hopes that kindled “In her way” first listen there for 2012.
