I think don’t really need to talk about this band…. I do it? In case you need a little context, The Hedgehogs appeared on wearethelastbeatniks a year ago pre-these two efforts, to shove weird psych rock right in our faces and they did it from which wasn’t exactly the first place you think of when it came to this genre, Denmark, but this country is a really fertile breeding ground for bands of all sorts and last years happened to have some of the weirdest garage psych vibes ever to poison my ears, and these Aalborg dudes reach such dreamy heights when they fire their psychedelic bullets that their efforts cannot be ignored, so here’s their spidery new single “Make Me Wanna Cry/ Can’t Find Myself ” , two brief spurts of catchy noise sure to please lovers of garage rock, psych vibes , 60’s , or to all they, beside ten primitive garage recordings of the collaboration Mads/ Kasper/ Simon/ Thomas/ Martin wandering through a sea of guitars slathered in effects making a mature leap into the world of droning retro sound and the result is downright hypnotic.
