See? wearethelastbeatniks is alive yet. I had rest plans, I swear, but not so much. Anyway remember, lastbeatniks and I will always love you, no matter what happen. And big thanks to all for coming through with some wonderful releases/commentaries over the past few days. So fuck it, we will ours. Maybe Marblewood beating wasn’t quite enough for you for this week, so I return today bearing news of the always stellar Chicago band Secret Colurs and their latest release. You know, I come giving credit to them since 2010 , they rousing me from the deepest apathy with each new effort and compelling me to write a post.
Now they decided go out to the way with two cool garage pop treasures recorded as a new 4-piece , Positive Distraction Part I (February 4, 2014) and Positive Distraction Part II (April 29, 2014) , the first, with some decidedly polished different duds that on earlier efforts. Be sure to keep an eye out for the second part…
