The folks that wearethelastbeatniks follows never cease to amaze me. Every week, or so, , a fresh batch of mind-altering sounds shows up through some massage on my mail box, and this one caught me off guard indeed. Wow.
Hidden Masters is the name with which this talented Scotish trio of David Addison, Alasdar Mitchell and John Nicol , delivers his fresh and inventive through a soundtrack kind from mid-seventies Rock-psych worship at it’s finest, with their own magic-dust sprinkled over it.
They are no stranger to epic musical landscapes either, they also dishing out some fantastic moments instrumental ear candy.
I can’t help but imagine a giant backdrop flashing images from 70´s TV series in a live performance.
They almost effortlessly creates hypnotic and haunting instrumental layers , leaning towards the symphonic-progressive rock styles with subtle-yet-danceable beats slithering around them, melts together almost too perfectly, paying tribute to all those vibes that we loved for decades.
Songs for enjoying on some basement , some late night clapping alone in the dark.
Fan..tas..tic.
Thanks @Dave
