There is something surprising on this psych pop project.I ran into the THE BEGINNER’S MYND thanks to Dave , an aussie friend who you known , whose opinion i generally trust as far as new sounds go. He dropped a couple of psych bricks from this three pieces Washington based ,onto my head only a few hours back, and from then these songs being playing on any where that i´ve been.
According to their Facebook ,which is pretty much the ONLY site where I could dig up info about this outfit, they reside in Washington D.C. , formed by Dan McNabb -husband and wife team Larry and Carrie Ferguson, and make really great psych songs. Before you know it, a killer Mellotron run washes over our ears with ghosts pushing to 60’s psych -pop feeling ,with some cool jangly-dipped guitar twang . really an excellent debut with a promise of a forthcoming EP, to come out sometime in the near future.
