Still It’s Monday  here where I live, and I’ve got a killer tune to kick off this week.

I just came across this one psychedelic project act from Kiev.  Yeah, that’s right, they´re  from Ukraine.  I  was naturally intrigued, lately I found great tunes from there ,  and once I listened to their debut album,  Nōdo,  I knew this had to be my next post.

Atomic Simao are self described as the child of a great wave of 60’s which  gets a big inspiration by electronic music of 90’s. on her bandcamp, and the description is apt.

There are only psychedelic  leanings in her guitar work, and on top of  that her aesthetic that it makes most albums of its type sound ridiculous.

The band was founded in 2010 in Kiev by the drummer “Sun In Everyone”. At that time he was looking for a bass player and guitarist….and he was very pleased when he met 2 guys from Kharkov: Artyom Janovsky (guitar) and Vladimir Sytnik (keyboards\samples\special effects).

They were also looking for a new breath…so this is it!  They still are living in different cities, but it didn’t bother them.

In October 2012 they  complete their first album, called ” Nōdo”

But now enlisted  new members to his pagan psych army,….new instruments (such as saxophone, percussions), new sound, new journeys, new emotions
