Like an interstellar ship ferrying ancient priests to new worlds, San Kazakgascar are the vehicle for our journey to oasis which will quenches our thirst for Middle Eastern psychedelia.
Five fellas from Sacramento, all in their 40s , all have played for decades, with Jed Brewer as band leader who gave it a go to this project in 2007 , fusing elements of Rock, Raga, and Middle Eastern music, making music for the mind. opening a new world for rock music fans with their eclectic music .
This team is completed with John Cypher , Greg Hain , Paul Takushi y Mike Woo and according they say, San Kazakgascar is “a beautiful country with beautiful people. Its origins are a blend of Byzantine/Eurasian civilizations and 18th century colonialism. After much turmoil in the 20th century, the people of Kazakgascar feel they’re getting a fresh start with the end of the third World War.”
I met them through their last child Drought Times , a four tracks EP released last October, which really hit the spot for me at the moment .
You will find below five albums , a couple of these were recorded by Brewer solo , and If you can afford to please support to them somehow all is available very cheap through their site , and if you live Sacramento around, they’re playing tomorrow on Davis Music Festival, where you can to join in the cosmic meditation post-12/12/12 through San Kazakgascar music….
