Maybe the famous three-day concert that took place in 1969 on the outskirts of New York, Woodstock, could be considered the mother of all rock festivals.
Maybe the three-day concert that took place in California´s Pacific coast from wich I will talk today may not be the most famous, it may not have been the best, but in fact it of June 1967 Monterey International Pop Festival was which got there first.
Where to start ….Well, we know or at less I said it a lot of times that 60`s changed the world in more ways than one. I don’t know if it started with the music or if music was just a reflection of events from these time . Regardless, I cannot pretend to remember anything about that time without the music.
This is magic moment rock that was held on June 16-18, 1967, where thousands of lucky were able to attend what we can considered to be one of the best music fests ever, an event that was put together to raise money for various charities and quite possible which inspired Woodstock two years later, truly a piece of musical history and compassion when it was only about the music and not the fuckin´ money, a moment which marked a turning point in rock through many diverse groups, who made so much great music in this time, that it is no wonder we still look back on it with total amazement., an intimate experience shared by musicians and fans alike, surely treasured by all who were there. A magical moment in the Rock history which fortunately we can back to live like a beautiful trip down memory lane…
