I think Tim Cohen is a guy who needs little introduction,. If you haven’t run across him yet, he is some sort of garage sorcerer with his talent involved behind any number of projects like Magic Trick, The Fresh & Onlys, Feller Quentin, Amocoma, Black Fiction, The Forest Fires Collective 3 Leafs, Sonny & The Sunsets, Hattattak, The Latter, and currently is recording with a new band called Cool Ghouls in his house. Not to mention that he find the time and creativity to make solo albums that are radically different than most of his group work, so always a welcome surprise found music from such a fantastic garage rocker like him cause there is always something compelling on each morphing.

So was, that this is pretty much what I was have spent my time listening to for the past days while I drive to my office.

Indeed, while with the Fresh & Onlys , still prepared their new record Long Slow Dance , he released his second full-length as Magic Trick, once a one-man band operation, now including vocalists Noelle Cahill, Alicia Vanden Heuvel from the Aislers Set, and drummer James Kim from Kelley Stoltz’s band .

Actually , I found these albums a few time ago, although I can’t seem to recall good when , this is pretty much what I was have spent my time listening to for the past days while I drive to my office, but was when I crossed with Fresh And Onlys Daytrotter , when I decided share it all .

Long Slow Dance is definitely a very different-sounding record than anything they has done in the past with The Fresh And Onlys , dynamic and vivid, and with a lot of pop and melancholy, and as always remember me the style of 60s psych bands, kind with Magick Tricks he is embracing that idea too, although with pop a bit more dark. In so far as his Daytrotter Session, you know, I love what the bands are able to express there

No doubt, Cohen’s releases are each a nice feeling in my life…
