This is a band I  should’ve had up here a long time ago, I guess it was inevitable that I  share it, as,  on the last years  has surprised to me always, to each record that they edit, although you know , with my drive broken goes a lot of music I should recover.

The Golden Boys are Nay Nay Arbietman  John Wesley Coleman , Matt Hoopengarder , Patrick  Travis and Bryan Schmitz,  a five piece who formed in Spring Branch, TX, in 2003, and based in Austin,  which has become for me on  a hotbed of great bands to share.

They  plays I would say psych garage punk  rock  with a very bluesy style,  a characteristic and very proper “garage rock” composed by sounds with irresistible energies resulting  in a cocktail  difficult to define without naming  the usual string of references , a kind of intersection between the paths of the Stones , Nick Cave , The Black Lips and   Thirteen Floor Elevators, an intersection where we found old discs of Rock & Roll, Soul, Jazz, Country and Blues.

From Scorpion Stomp #2 of 2005 to Dirty Fingernails released last March, The Golden Boys  are a  raucous rock ‘n’ roll through and through, with all the stomping ,charged guitars and clattering rhythms that comes with it. which makes me  to humming and mainly it educates my  ears,.so I am glad I found from them almost all LPs  again to  share it  with hope you enjoy …
