With complete honesty , on last day, I’ve been sitting here for some time trying to think of some sort of interesting thing to say about Ty Segall and “Slaughterhouse”, his brand new LP Joined by his regular backing musicians Mikal Cronin, Charlie Moothart, and Emily Rose Epstein , now under the name the Ty Segall Band.

That is how when I was looking around some images about him for the header , I found out about an amazing compilation, the second from the San Francisco garage rock heathens called In A Cloud II.

We know Ty Segall has been really busy. After released Goodbye Bread last year, in January , this prolific garage rock dynamo told that he had a mammoth year mapped out in front of him, which include the release of three full-lengths.

So he put out crispy Hair with White Fence in early May and I’ve done our best to imagine would Slaughterhouse sound like , you know Ty Segall is serious wearethelastbeatniks favs.

The answer is, well, basically exactly what I would have expected. And its awesome.

No wasted space allowed, total urgency filled with punk spirit and with Ty Segall screaming over it, and the guitars and the drums just keep blaring packed with explosive energy and endless hooks , straight, blistering rock with reverb and echo galore. All which put him head above the current garage flock.

Some call Segall’s music garage rock, some call it punk. Whatever they call it, it’s awesome.

Listen Ty Segall is like a comfortable pair of shoes, just wear it and walk happy …

Well, as I said above, if this were not enough, I found a track titled “Swag” which is part of a compilation that will be editing the Secret Seven on July 27 named “In A Cloud II” where also appear some other unreleased tracks from Papercuts, Wymond Miles, Sonny & The Sunsets, Tim Cohen, Vetiver, Lucky Eyes, and many others . Well , as it was in its entirety to hear , I just ripped it, so you can get below this compilation that brings together some of the best sounds that have been emerging in San Francisco, enjoy!
