The Swedes makes good music, we know it so well.  And  The Soundtrack of Our Lives 
 are no exception(  I shared their discog here some time ago)  Established in 1995 by singer Ebbot Lundberg and guitarist  Björn Olsson, emerged from the remains of its former Union Carbide Productions, of whom is reasonable to say that was one of the best rock bands Scandinavian, so  that there is virtually no Swedish band who  not cite at   them as  THE  influence.

So, T.S.O.O.L .  was one spearhead of Swedish music  and the Scandinavian psychedelic. Psychedelic rock /pop with   60`s  substrates , without being retro.  Eclectics. Current rock made with  precise  classical brushstrokes ,   turning their sound into an own original invention.

 Olsson, who  had helped craft the sound of T.S.O.O.L . left the band .after its first release  to pursue a solo career.

Lundberg, almost  twenty years later, remains  the wild  hollering front man of the Soundtrack of Our Lives, and may be the world’s finest practitioners of classic rock, no doubt.

Now, for a side I’m pleased to announce that the band have a brand new album out called “Throw It To The Universe”,   released  on April 18th. For other side , I had a  shock when  during an interview on Swedish Radio, Ebbot Lundberg announced that this will be the band’s last album , which  will cease to exist at the end of 2012. Very sad news indeed, yet there is always the hope that it won’t be the last time the band will work together. 

In the meantime, I would like to say a heartfelt “thank you” to Ebbot, Ian, Kalle, Fredrik, Mattias and Martin for some of the greatest music which  I  had the good fortune to experience.

Crossing  paths, The  Crossroads Festival  2012, met from  21 to 24 March with handpicked bands from  genres rock, pop, folk rock, blues-rock and indie to the expectant ears of a motley crowd. 

The location for this event  become a tradition, was the iconic concert pub Harmonie  from  Bonn-Endenich. 

Rockpalast has recorded for us, among other things, the Swedish The Soundtrack of Our Lives who played at night Wednesday 21 March.
