The Pheromoans are a band formed in late 2005 , based in the South-East of England This line up consisting currently by James Moan , RjW , Octogram, Alex G and Janson Sansobite.
They played their first gig in January 2006 and in 2009 released their first single Revamper on the New York label Convulsive that gained a good review, and seemingly encouraged the band to release even more material.
So, In 2010 The Pheromoans embarked on their first overseas tour and 2011 has seen them release their debut LP, It Still Rankles on Convulsive, which was immediately followed up by a mini 12” album My Mind Is On The Anti-Climb Paint on the Plymouth label One.C beside the release the 7-song EP Bar-Rock (via Monofuss Press).
Jackie P has also joined as a sixth member, adding keyboard and violin to recordings of “Darby, Joan & Fosters” their new work .
With a blend of different styles on a way that is unusual and unconventional in music, to found their own sound , The Pheromoans specializes in difficult listening which may be liked or not, making something can be enjoyed just for a certain amount avant-garde listeners , that appreciate these sounds over an eerie backdrop , a kind lo-fi DIY of primitive pitch voices , post-punk guitar and 80´s keyboards that reside in the vicinity of psychedelia. filling a picture full of eclecticism.
