Esto escuche decir alguna vez a un gutarrista hablando de Jimi Hendrix y asi habia encabezado el anuncio de la salida de West Coast Seattle Boy : The Jimi Hendrix Anthology, el colofon de un excelente 2010 para los fanaticos de Jimi Hendrix, que en marzo del año pasado vieron el lanzamiento del esperado Valleys Of Neptune , seguido por la reedicion de toda su discografia remasterizada.
West Coast Seattle Boy , lanzada por Legacy Records en forma de un box set de 4 Cds y 1 DVD, recorre de una manera especial en 45 canciones todas las epocas de Jimi Hendrix.
Si hubierams encontrado en la red un bootlleg de esta calidad diriamos que es algo impresionante, al ser comercial, he encontrado diferentes criticas. Lo que es cierto es que no es el lugar mas apropiado para comenzar a conocer a Hendrix, por lo que diria a quienes no lo conocen todavia , deberian comenzar por su discografia oficial. para apreciar de otra forma este regalo de Legacy Records, con versiones caseras, acusticas y electricas, demos , sesiones, versioens ampliadas en cuatro horas de un Jimi Hendrix inedito y desconocido.
Otro documento que demuestra porque Hendrix es el comun denominador de todos los estilos de la musica contemporanea, el puerto obligado en el que recalamos los fanaticos del Rock…
