Emerging from an incongruous Belfast music scene, Girls Names formed in January 2009 as a two-piece, Cathal Cully and Neil Brogan with their first gig booked before they had even played together.
Expanding to a three piece some months later with the addition of Claire Miskimmin on bass, the band have effortlessly refined their own personal style “disposable noise pop”
With their identity firmly established, debut album Dead To Me delivers on the promise shown on previous releases, Girls Names and You Should Know By Now EPs.
Dark pop, shoegaze , post-punk eighties influences, energetic guitars that contrast with the linearity of vocalist Cathal Cully. I recommend it . You won’t regret…
