For the 1-year anniversary of the release of Arcade Fire’s epic, Album of the Year Grammy-winning album The Suburbs, Merge will release a deluxe edition that will include two brand new tracks recorded during The Suburbs album sessions (“Culture War” and “Speaking in Tongues” featuring David Byrne), an extended version of album track “Wasted Hours,” Spike Jonze’s short film, Scenes From The Suburbs, and an 80-page booklet as well as other exclusive content.
Preorders will ship to arrive on or around the August 2, 2011 street date. Additionally, all preorders for the The Suburbs Deluxe will come with a free download of the two non-album tracks “Culture War” and “Speaking in Tongues” via email after your order.
The 30-minute film, inspired by The Suburbs, is directed by Spike Jonze and co-written by Spike Jonze, Will Butler and Win Butler.
The Suburbs Deluxe will include:
* CD: The Suburbs album, including an extended version of “Wasted Hours” and two non-album tracks “Speaking In Tongues” feat. David Byrne and “Culture War.”
* DVD: Scenes From The Suburbs (30 minutes), a behind the scenes documentary and the official video for The Suburbs’ title track.
* An 80-page booklet featuring stills from the film, behind the scenes photographs from the film’s production, and lyrics.

Va terminando 2010 y comienzan a aparecer en blogs, magazines y programas televisivos y radiales dedicados a la musica la lista de los mejores albumes del año.
Y uno que sin lugar a dudas figura practicaente en todas estas listas es The Suburbs, de los canadienses Arcade Fire , quienes comenzaron a moldear su exquisita historia musical con Funeral alla por 2004 , historia con este feliz episodio titulado The Suburbs con el que lograron dominar la escena musical a nivel mundial, conquistando con sus presentaciones en vivo a los aficionados sin importar su perfil musical con la pericia instrumental a la que ya nos tienen acostumbrados.
Bien, algo de esto sucedio el 5 de Setiembre en el Monte de Gozo en Santiago de Compostela cuando Win Butler , Regine Chassagne y sus chicos encabezaron el cartel del Festival MTV Galicia 2010.
Lo que tienen a continuacion es el audio de este evento, compilado en un bootleg que encontre en el blog amigo Magiska con el titulo de Moving Past The Feeling , audio al que me tome la libertad de separar en tracks individuales y que contiene los 10 temas que presento MTV Galicia en lo que fue su primera transmision en vivo el 18 de Setiembre, mas 5 bonus tracks pretenecientes a la presentacion de la banda en el Reading Fesrtival 2010 el 28 deAgosto.
Acompañando a este bootleg, encontrarn abajo los links para descargar el video tal como se lo vio por MTV Galicia , con la correspondiente entravista en excelente calidad, espero que lo disfruten, saludos…

“Say, ‘Hi, Internet ! ‘ seguido de “Let’s show ’em what they’re missing ! ”
Esto comenzo gritando la noche del jueves 5 de Agosto Win Butler de los Arcade Fire ante la multitud que los aclamaba en el Madiso Square Garden , ese mitico estadio de New York .
Y , si nos mostraron lo que nos perdimos de poder ver en vivo, aunque con el aliciente de poder disfrutarlos a traves de internet gracias a la transmision en directo que esa noche se concreto a traves del Canal VEVO por YouTube en el marco del Unstaged de American Express .
Esa transmision que tuvo al experimentado Terry Gillian al mando de las camaras , capturo la energia que supo transmitir esta gran banda canadiense la segunda noche que se presento en este gigante de cemento.
Ya me di el gusto de compartir el audio de la noche anterior hace algunos dias, ahora tengo el placer de hacerlo con los dieciocho temas de la noche principal, disfrutenla, saludos…

Arcade Fire Concert at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY, USA – August 4, 2010( (AUDIENCE) + VIDEO
Y los Arcade Fire depositaron en el escenario del Madison Square Garden durante dos noches sus cajones llenos de guitarras, violoncellos, violines, arpas, y ese acordeon que le da el toque tan especial a esa densa y particular mezcla musical de una belleza extraña a la que nos tenian acostumbrados y confirmada por su ultimo trabajo The Suburbs, y obtuvieron sus dos noches merecidas de gloria .
Para los amantes de la musica indie la aparicion de los Arcade Fire en uno de los escenarios mas importantes del mundo fue un hecho trascendente , tal es asi que fluyo la presentacion del 05 de Agosto hacia millones de fanaticos a traves de su transmision via web a traves de YouTube – Vevo en el marco de Unstaged patrocinado por la firma American Express, y dirigido por el director candidato al Oscar Terry Gillian, asi que seguramente en algun momento accederemos al registro de esta presentacion.
Particularmente comparto en este post la primera noche del 04 de Agosto , que tuvo un Setlist casi identico al transmitido el dia siguiente , el sonido no es el mejor que me hubiese gustado , pero creo que lo que fue el show merece la pena, aqui van tambien los videos de “Ready For Start”, “Rococo” y “Empty Room” en alta calidad , es lo que consegui por ahora, espero que les guste y en cuanto tenga el concierto en mejor calidad seguramente estara por aqui, saludos …

Nuevamente me atrevo a repostear un disco con un link caido, solamente, porque este disco tiene que ser escuchado si o si, uno de los mejores y mas esperados regresos del 2010.
Los Arcade Fire y su The Suburbs, si, hay algo mas alla de Funeral y de Neon Bible y solo puedo definirlo con tres palabras variedad, originalidad y calidad, que lo disfruten quienes todavia no lo tienen, saludos…
