Bass Drum Of Death is the next entry in this seemingly endless parade of Garage Rock bands that never seem to rest their way out of the sweaty pubs and cobbled alleys of whatever recondite place on the world. Anyway . By now you could know of my love for them.
For those of you paying me attention, BDOD is an extremely powerful and amazingly talented duo. John Barrett is the genious that unleash neuroses and rage in caustic guitars and furious rhythms, and in tandem with drummer Colin Sneed has a knack for making them sound like it’s sort of crusty garage punk. The Oxford, Miss., duo is releasing the follow-up to 2011 debut on Innovative Leisure and the few copies of their earlier 7″s were scooped up fast, and are extremely hard . Their self-titled full lenght , is perhaps their most compelling work yet.
Fuck, I love this band.

Thanks, Pepe! Some of these are really hard to find. I can’t believe that new self-titled hasn’t been officially released yet. I feel like I’ve been listening to that for forever, and I’m already anxious for something new! Good thing I now have these new-to-me singles you posted to hold me over. 🙂
Yeah, out of curiosity, how were you able to collect all these? And just so you know, Collin is not in this band anymore, he is in The Unwed Teenage Mothers. John records everything himself, then finds friends to play with him on tour. Collin was with him for a while but not anymore.
