I never knew psych rock it´s so big in Chile

Well, my brief hiatus comes to a close with these amazing tunes . It’s been a few days since my last post, but you wouldn’t believe how time consuming being tidying my vinyls.

I found a new effort from Föllakzoid while digging on Sacred Bones thursday night , and it fucking rocks, so I searched all from them and I listened all this from front to back…. like three times in a row. They have continued to dazzling with each awesome release

According to some musical mystics over there, Föllakzoid is one of the few Chilean Krautrock , the truth I don’t know shit about Chilean music, but if their psych sounds like this, I’ve been seriously missing out . Like, I’d better get over there ASAP.

There’s a kind of plodding repetitive rhythm in the background, while the vocals incomprehensibly soar in swaths of reverb. Along with the vocals, the echoing krauty guitars and keyboard loopy melodies, .carrying the songs with their piercingly melodic psych. This is real cool stuff. Föllakzoid (prounounced foll-ack-zoid) started playing together three years ago in Chile when they were 20 years old. They were an eclectic group as far as musical taste, having dabbled in everything from classic rock to punk. The first time they jammed together they played non- stop without speaking for two hours and were seemingly over taken by a trance without any clear reference point. After they played their first show they began to delve into 60’s German krautrock while cultivating their love of and simultaneous propulsion towards motorik beat.
