Black Market Karma are four psychedelic rockers ( Stan , Mike, Sam and Mat ) based in London, England that are influenced by the 1960’s psychedeIic and garage movements, likes of The Velvet Underground, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tom Waits, The Black Angels, Jesus & Mary Chain and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Stan and Mike met in their school days and started jamming with a lot in common musically until they could, eventually finding her sound like band, different members have come and gone over the years and have a solid line-up now and it seems to be on stroke.
Last year I got the good fortune to meet Black Market Karma , and through them to Flower Power Records, that was created by “Supersonic” Mark to give Black Market Karma the ability to make and release their music as they want it to sound., and from whose first records I wrote up last year.
Now, Supersonic sent me the link to several of the fresh releases from FPR to come out with the changing over to a new year, among those who found Comatose, their first full-length with BMK’s deliciously psychedelic signature . Surely this is only a hint of great things to come…
